Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect when you visit or buy from this store, why we collect it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it. WRIP is the business responsible for that data, operating from San Diego, California.
What we collect
When you order: your name, email, billing and shipping address, phone number if you give one, and what you bought. We never see your full card number — payment details go straight to our payment processor, and we only ever see the card type, the last four digits and whether it succeeded.
When you browse: your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view and how long you stay. This arrives through cookies and similar technology and is collected automatically.
When you contact us: whatever you put in the message, including your email address, so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.
When you sign up for alerts: your email address, and nothing else.
Why we collect it
To take and fulfil your order, charge you, ship to you and talk to you about it. To screen orders for fraud. To answer your questions. To understand which pages and products people actually use, so the store gets better. To meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations. And, where you have opted in, to email you.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. We do share it with the services that make the store work:
Shopify hosts this store and processes orders. Our payment processor handles the transaction. Our carriers receive the name and address needed to deliver. Our email provider receives your address if you subscribed. Each of these gets only what it needs to do its job, and each is bound to protect it.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, where we must to protect our rights or someone's safety, or if the business is sold — in which case your information transfers with it and this policy continues to apply.
Cookies
The store uses cookies that are strictly necessary — keeping your cart, keeping you signed in, keeping checkout secure — and analytics cookies that tell us how the store is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout will not work properly without the necessary ones.
Marketing email
We only email you marketing if you asked us to. Every such email carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately. Transactional email — order confirmations, shipping notices, a message telling you your order is late — is part of fulfilling your order and is sent regardless.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires, currently seven years. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Support conversations are kept for two years. Analytics data is kept in aggregate.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can email admin@wearwrip.com and ask us to tell you what we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it, or delete it. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify who you are first, and we may have to keep records the law requires us to keep.
California residents have specific rights under the CCPA and CPRA: to know what categories of personal information we collect and why, to receive a copy, to have it deleted, to have it corrected, and to not be discriminated against for exercising any of that. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in that law, so there is nothing to opt out of — but if that ever changes we will say so here first.
If you are in the EU or UK, you additionally have rights to restrict or object to processing and to data portability, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
The store runs over HTTPS and payment data is handled by a PCI-compliant processor that we never see card numbers through. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but if a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
Children
This store is not intended for anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Outside the United States
We operate from the United States and your information is processed there. Data protection law in the US may differ from where you live. By using the store you understand that.
Changes
If we change this policy we will post the revised version here with a new date. Material changes will be flagged on the store.
